On returning to Australia after a decade in London, Jemma broke into the industry on cult series Summer Heights High.

With a great ear for emotional tonality of music, Jemma loves working closely with directors to craft their soundtracks, finding the most compelling way to tell their story through the use of score, licensed music or commissioned songs. She loves deep diving into the cultural context of music and pairing the right composer with the right director, knowing how pivotal the dynamic of that relationship is.

She is thrilled to be working on productions including Liz Doran’s adaptation of the Australian literary classic My Brilliant Career (Netflix) and Jen Peedom’s scripted feature debut Tenzing (Apple Studios), written by Luke Davies. The next production to be released is The Drama (A24); Kristoffer Borgli’s highly anticipated black comedy starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson.
